This beautiful space includes a main “studio” area and a conference space. Designed for our community members, it houses a variety of wellness classes including yoga and physiotherapist-led exercise programs for all ages.

It is used for many ActiveLife events, meetings, wellness sessions as well as many wellness and fitness classes such as yoga, 50 + Class, NeuroFITT, Developing Through Play, and many more classes for community members of all ages.

This addition to ActiveLife unites wellness and community and is dedicated to Isla Short, daughter of Sarah and Michael, who in her three and a half years on earth, touched many hearts throughout the community of Deer Lake (Islaview) and beyond.

A 45 min to one hour class that starts with 5 min warm up followed by a 15 min increase to faster heat generating movement (yang) to warm muscles, ligaments, joints. The class then moves to floor work for 20 min deep stretching that involves holding yoga postures for longer periods of time. Class also includes 5-10 min relaxation seated in your chair at the end of class. Benefits: Amazing restorative feeling; improved flexibility & freedom of movement
